Jenna & Mitch Wedding {Part 3} /// Amarillo Wedding Photographer

I mentioned in my first post of Jenna and Mitch's wedding, all of the wonderful details they had at their reception! I am so excited to finally share those with you!

I love this.

this image speaks so much to me about their relationship. he is her protector.

inside the reception area was so bright and colorful, with DIY details everywhere

some of my favorites were all of the hanging poms. they added SO much to the room.

she colored scrabble tiles, and each of the tables had a word. so sweet. also, the limes in the vase are amazing.

these two are seriously so in love.

her rings are perfect.

their exit car was a convertible corvette... and she made it look good!

such a perfect couple.

Jaden's Pirate Party!

Jaden turned 5 in April! I can't believe my baby is getting so big!! We had a very special pirate party with some of his little friends to celebrate!

When the guests arrived they had to SUIT UP!!

Every Pirate needs a pirate eye patch, sash, bandana and of course a pirate sword!!

Here's Jade in his pirate gear!

(he wasn't a fan of the bandana)

Here's the table. Jaden got the Pirate Ship for his birthday, and it worked perfectly for the centerpiece. The table settings & banner are from Target's new party line, Spritz. Super cute.

my Mom sent lot's of Happy Birthday Jaden & pirate vinyl which we had all over the house, and the pictures in the frames are actually gift bags, from Target too :) The tiny bunting flags were an awesome free printable found here. She has them ready bigger, and I just shrunk them down a little for these ones. We also used the cute ship sails and flags, and put them on banana's and called them "banana boats... didn't get a picture of that finished product.

I had lots of fun with this! I found lots of these ideas on different blogs, we had:

"crunchy bones" - pretzel sticks

"gold dubloons" - gold wrapped mini chocolates

"shark bait" - gold fish crackers

"cap'n jaden's sandwiches"

"cannon balls" - cheese balls

"banana boats"

"Pirate grog" - drinks :)

here were our favor bags... totally simple, just some fun pirate things inside, bags from Target

we had "gold dubloons" laying around everywhere & this is the full size banner again from here

his friends brought him some amazing presents... he was a super happy boy!

after the friends arrived and got all of their pirate gear on they went to the back for sword fights & to visit "One-eyed Lauren's Tattoo Parlor"

yep, just realized i spelled tatoo wrong in my sign... oops.

we went on a treasure hunt, and found clues all over the house.

that led to the treasure chest!!

everyone was so excited... especially my handsome birthday boy!

I got these cute, cute cupcake toper designs from Shindig Parties. I also used the designs for the water bottle wraps, which I really don't have a picture of...

it was a little bit of a rough day for little miss Kennedy... she kinda likes things to be all about her :) Fortunately she had two things that helped: a delish cupcake & her awesome Auntie Lauren to spoil her.

oh, and her sweet brother taking time out of his special day to take a pic with his little sis...

I love these two so much.

It was such a fun party, and Jade felt so special. Sword fights broke out all over the place, as well as all of the "pirates" realizing how funny it is to hit the balloons with theirs swords until they popped. It was pretty hilarious.

Poor Jade got hit hard in the face (our only casualty) with a sword right before this shot, but other than this moment, he had a perfect birthday.

Happy Birthday Jaden!!

You are such an amazing blessing in my life! I love you, and I am so proud of what a big boy you are becoming!

Are you ready for some seriously gorgeous bridals?! For real, Kyra is beyond beautiful...

we tried to get a serious sitting down shot, but with all this crazy Amarillo wind, we ended up with something even cuter! Her dress was blowing up like crazy!!

She can rock that serious look like no one else!

Sweet Baby Megan /// Amarillo Newborn Photographer

Meet sweet baby Megan! We took these when she was just 7 days old. Isn't she precious?! The rule with newborns, is to try to take the pictures before they are 2 weeks old.. so they can be super sleepy, and super still... Megan is the exception to this rule :) she is already so strong, lifting her neck, and moving all over the place, and she was pretty much wide awake the entire shoot, but that's okay, because she is so stinking cute awake!

I mean really cute, can you believe this smiley girl?

we did this shoot in baby Megan's home, so her little cutie pie brothers were in the background being my little helpers!

These kids love, love, love their iPhones. Jade plays all sorts of cute little games, his favs right now are a couple different letter and spelling ones, "angry birds", and his new fav that auntie kenz taught him to play is "cut the rope".

I love the way his little hands hold it.

i love the way it holds his full and complete attention. when i asked to take a picture of him, he gave me a little half smile, while still looking at the phone.

i guess that is a little better :)

I hope everyone is having a lovely Valentines Day! I enjoyed a nice quiet day at home with the kiddos, filled with projects and lots of love! Here are a few scenes into our day of love :)

For dinner we made pizza together, with the most adorable little heart shaped pepperoni, heart shaped jello jigglers, and we turned milk pink with nesquik strawberry syrup.

It was the perfect day.

Cam and I will celebrate Valentines Day together next week in Europe. I. Can't. Wait.

Keely and Ben were married on New Years Eve 2010. It was a blistery cold day outside, but inside it was nothing but perfect. Keely & Ben were so ready for this day to be here, and I could not have been happier to be a part of it.

Keely & Ben decided to do their first sight before the wedding. This is one of my favorite things to be a part of. It is such a special, romantic moment between the bride and groom.

plus it gave us lots of time to get some amazing pictures of the two of them together

Their details were so perfect... but more on that later...

I loved that Keely wore her veil as she walked down the aisle. It was so classic, and beautiful. And I absolutely adore the way her father is looking at her as he is about to give her away.

Okay, back to the details, can you believe the details on her cake? It was so white and simple, yet so detailed at the same time.

What a beautiful couple! Thank you Keely and Ben for sharing these special moments with me! I wish you all the best in your sweet, sweet marriage.

I absolutely love every chance I get to go back to Waco. It truly became a home to us, and we miss it dearly. So, I was so excited about Katy & Clayton's wedding, and another chance to be back in Central Texas!

I am so excited about something new I'm going to be trying for proofing!! It is going to be bigger, better, easier, and a totally user friendly proofing system! So the switch is going to take place this weekend and the current site will go down at 5pm today.

This Monday, August 2nd at 10am the new proofing site will be available and I will be emailing all of you with current proofing galleries your new log in information!!

But what I am even MORE excited about is the launch of my NEW WEBSITE!!!!! I am so excited for this!! It should happen today, and let me tell you, it is going to be great!!

And throughout all this busy-ness and craziness, yesterday I got a knock on my door with this little delectable treat, an edible arrangement... from my sweet parents and siblings. Made our day. We gathered around the table as a family and enjoyed the delicious, juicy fruit together on a hot summer day. It was perfect.

Karli and Eric are MARRIED!!! {Part 2} /// Amarillo Wedding Photographer

I am a total sucker for bright happy colors, and I LOVED all the beautiful colors they chose! Especially the bridesmaids dresses!! SO cute!! We had a couple minutes to take some fun shots outside of the reception, and we got some awesome shots!!

AH!! They are SO CUTE TOGETHER!!

Once again so gorgeous! Even the lighting was working for us!! :)

Probably my favorite detail of their wedding was Eric's cake (I've been really digging the groom's cakes lately!) Cowboys field?! How awesome is that!!?!

After dinner and mingling, they started the "Grand March". It was my first time shooting one, and it was so hilariously fun!! People running dancing, clapping laughing, running into each other, you name it, it happens in the Grand March!

It ended with Eric and Karli dancing in the middle, with everyone surrounding them in a circle holding hands.... and then every 30 seconds or so, they would attack from all sides and rush the couple!! It was SO FUNNY! I love the look on the cute little girls face on the right, and Eric's face... so priceless!!

Karli and her father shared a beautiful, emotional dance. There was not a dry eye in the room, including my own...

And then they continued to party the night away! And let me just tell you... the people of Westphalia (because literally the whole town was there) really know how to PAR-TAY!! It was such a fun night!! A perfect celebration of this perfect couple!

This picture makes me laugh SO HARD!!! They were seriously attacked!! Oh my gosh!! They must have had bird seed and silly string on them for days!!

Karli and Eric are married!! They have been together over a decade already, and there is no question that they are meant to be together. Their wedding day was an incredible one, filled with love, laughter and tears. I loved that she got ready at her Grandma's house, it made it so personal, and so comfortable...

So apparently moving makes me get super behind on my blog!! We are starting to get settled into Amarillo, and hoping to meet great new clients and friends soon! :) Thank you to all my sweet brides & mother of the brides, for all of your sweet well wishes! I miss you all already!

Anyway, back to Karli! Now that she is married to her sweet love, Eric, I can finally share her bridal images with you!! The session was a H.O.T. day, and Karli was a TOTAL trooper, and stuck through it!! We did her session in her hometown of Westphalia, and every location she chose was so perfect, and had so much meaning, that it made me just fall in love with every shot!

This is "The Old Store" in Westphalia, that used to be her Grandpa's store. So neat.

Lauren and Alec: Wedding!! {Part 2} /// Amarillo Wedding Photographer

Lauren and Alec had their reception at the Hilton in downtown Austin! We took a quick minute to get a couple shots downtown before going into the ceremony!! I love this wedding part shot!! My favorite part is Alec's hair!! :)

The banquet hall was done perfectly, I loved how amazing the tables all looked!

Lauren and Alec: Wedding!! {Amarillo Wedding Photographer}

Lauren and Alec were married a couple weeks ago in Austin! It was a beautifuly-hot day, and these two were more than ready for this moment. Lauren is SO sweet, and so graceful, and Alec is easy going and funny. They are the perfect couple, who just radiate love. Everyone around them loves them, and just wants to be around them! It was really wonderful to be a part of their wedding!

This was my favorite moment in the ceremony, they were exchanging rings, and he gave her his right hand by accident. She kept motioning for him to switch, and he wasn't noticing, finally he did, and they were dying! I love that they can laugh about things together!

There was barely a dry eye in the ceremony, the only ones not crying were the groomsmen who were repeating in their heads "sports, sports" ahaha! It was so sweet, and so perfect.

We went outside in the hot and humid Texas air. We felt yuck, but it was so worth it!

AMARILLO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER!!!!!

We have been going through some craaaazy changes in our family the last couple months! Long story short, we have tried to make the right decisions for our family! We have been in Corpus for the last month, and have decided that Amarillo will be our new permanent home! So we will be moving to Amarillo next month, and I will immediately be booking weddings, as well as portrait sessions!

Of course I will still be coming back to Waco for my fabulous upcoming weddings, and shoots, and I will continue to book a very limited number of weddings in the Central Texas area!

I am SO excited to get into the Amarillo area, meet some new photographer friends, and especially, meet new awesome clients!! I have been so blessed with the most amazing clients through the years, and I just know it will keep up!!

Natalie and Clark: are Married!!! {Part 2}

I'm going to start right where I left off... Clark came into the ceremony riding a horse, with his groomsmen around him. Then followed the bridesmaids who came out of the tree line.

and finally Natalie and her Father... it was an unbelievable moment... they could not have picked better music to be playing, and I may or may not have shed a tear or two... :)

I can't even imagine how Clark was feeling when he saw her...

Natalie and Clark's parents surprised them by releasing 2 doves into the air... it was beautiful!

After they did the sands, they had a moment to hug, and enjoy each other while the music finished playing... wow, i loved it.

so happy together!!!

Natalie and Clark: are Married!!! {Part 1}

When I first sat down with Natalie and Clark to talk about their wedding, my jaw literally dropped. I was blown away by all of their fabulous plans, and started counting down the days until I could see/photograph it all. It was just as fabulous as promised!! The whole day took place at Natalie's parents house, and it was INCREDIBLE!! So, this first little sneak peek is of the before pictures... in the next couple days, I'll do a post of the ceremony and reception, and I just cannot wait to show you those images as well!!

Sarah and Caleb: Wedding!! {Part 2}

Sorry to leave you all hanging for a couple days!! It has been a busy week trying to get caught up with the last couple weeks of moving and such! There are so many images in this post I have been dying to share, so I'm excited that this made it to the top of my to-do list tonight! :) You've already seen images from Sarah and Caleb's pre-wedding festivities, now here is the ceremony and reception!

They were married at the church in Corsicana, Texas. Once again my favorite color pink made it's way into their wedding!! Loved all the decor and colors and flowers! Sarah has serious style and taste!

I love this shot of them, exchanging rings, almost giddy they are so happy!

At the end, when they were pronounced husband and wife, and Caleb was told to kiss his bride, he did this... kissed her hand! It was so cute and funny! But of course, he immediately went in for his real kiss after! :) Oh, and this all happened after she let out her Texas A&M "WHOOP!"

*sigh*... so romantical...

They are the cutest couple together!!

Her Grandfather owns this awesome car, and was their chauffeur for the day... so we took a couple shots with it before they headed off to the reception!

Their reception was incredible, it was held at a brand new reception center in Corsicana, they were the very first ones to have an event there! It used to be an old car warehouse, or used car something-or-other.. I wish I could tell you the name, but I can't remember right now.... it will come to me! It was really beautiful though! Half inside, half outside, but everything is kinda open air...

The first dance between Sarah and Caleb was so sweet.

And oh-my-goodness-gracious, this is a Dad that loves his daughter. He couldn't take his eyes off of her, he was smiling, so happy and so proud throughout the whole dance.

and my favorite part of the night... Caleb's cake!!! A giant Jif, creamy peanut butter jar cake!! Isn't this insane?!?! I love it so much!! Mmmm... totally craving peanut butter now!! :)

The reception was super casual and easy going, and so we spent a couple extra minutes getting some shots of them at the reception!

There is something about this image, that just holds so much emotion to me!

So happy together that day, and I'm sure every day they spend together!

The food was beautiful and delish!

Sarah and Caleb: Wedding!! {Part 1}

Sarah is one of the sweetest-most-easy-going-yet-incredibly-stylish brides I have ever had! From the moment I sat down with them almost 7 months ago, I knew she would be amazing to work with! Not to mention Caleb, who shares my obsession with peanut butter... but you'll see more about that in Part 2. So, needless to say, this was a day I had been looking forward to for a while!

Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready at a cute little vintage inn, right around the corner from her church. The lighting was perfect!!

This was Sarah's Great-Great-Great-Great Grandmother's handkerchief. It was beautiful, and so neat to be able to have something so special with her on her wedding day.

Sarah and Caleb decided to do their First Sight before the ceremony, and have a private moment between the two of them. This was the first time Caleb saw Sarah in her dress!

They did something really special, and wrote personal vows to each other, and recited them during this private moment. It was so sweet!

We had a couple minutes to get some shots of them together before the guests started arriving.

Can you believe Caleb's eyes? So cool, and no I did not edit them at all!

I love this last shot of them! SUCH a hot couple, and equally as sweet!!

Tiffany and Kyle: Married!!! {Part 2}

Here is Part 2 of Tiffany and Kyle's wedding!! As she walked down the aisle with her Dad, the look on Kyle's face was unforgettable. He is truly, deeply in love with her, and to me, this shot shows that!

I was totally loving this little church. It was tiny, and packed, but beautiful and sweet, and the colors, and architecture were really perfect for the wedding.

They are SO cute together!! I LOOOOVE this shot of them looking at each other! So in love...

Ah!! Stop it! The expressions on their faces were killing me!! They are SO sweet!!

By the time the ceremony was over, and we had finished the family pictures, it was getting dark outside... we still got some awesome shots, this one being one of my favs!

Everyone knows how much I love pink... it's obvious by my logo... so I loved all the decorations at Tiffany's reception!! So much pink = so cute!

Tiffany and Kyle had their first dance together as husband and wife! It was so fun and romantic! Love this shot of them laughing together!

Natalie: Bridals!!

Words cannot express how excited I have been to post this session! You've seen the adorable Natalie & Clark here. But just when I thought a session with Natalie couldn't get any more amazing she proved me wrong!! As I headed down to start her session I drove through a GIANT thunderstorm, much lightening, thunder rain, and hail. It was crazy, Natalie didn't have much time to reschedule, so we just kept saying we would meet, and go from there. About 15 minutes after I met up with Natalie, the rain stopped, and the sun started to poke through the clouds. Yes, it was super wet on the ground, and dripping from the trees, and incredibly humid. But you'd never know it!! Natalie was amazing, and if I do say so myself we rocked the session... :)

Her hair was beautiful! I loved the flowers in her hair, such a perfect touch!

BEAUTIFUL!!!

Then we headed over to their condo on the lake, and started shooting, with a perfect sunset. It was like storybook romance. This may just be my new very favorite spot!! She brought her Grandmothers antique chair and it fit this shot wonderfully! I absolutely love this of Natalie!

and on the other side, the moon, and a bird flying by... couldn't be cooler! She had this displayed as a 20x24 at her wedding!!

Lots to catch up on though! I just have to say, I have the most amazing clients in the world! We moved on such short notice, and now the kids and I are visiting family for my little Sisters graduation... in other words, things have been such a whirl wind lately. But, I have the most patient wonderful clients, which more than anything makes me want to work faster and harder to get caught up with all of you!!

Karly: Senior Shoot!!

This is Karly, and obviously she is drop dead gorgeous! We had a fun session together, capturing who she is right now as a graduating senior!

I loved all the colors of her dress with the colors on this wall... so cool.

Karly is an editor and photographer for her school paper! So we wanted to incorporate that into the session a little! I love this next shot! It turned out so cute!

We were driving down some random alley and went past this wall, and I just about died! It was SO perfect for her striking eyes!

This is the last image I will share with you, Karly is a major purse collector... from what I hear, this does not even begin to scratch the surface of how many she has... but I thought it was an awesome idea to bring along a few for the shoot! I love all these colors!!

Tiffany and Kyle: Married!!! {Part 1}

It was the perfect day, for the perfect wedding, for the perfect couple! Tiffany and Kyle's wedding was such an amazing day, I could not have been happier to see these two become husband and wife, and become a little family with Kyle's incredibly adorable daughter.

Speaking of Kyle... I love this shot of him.. all of the guys were hanging outside and I loved the casual laid back feeling that was there with them. He wasn't nervous, wasn't dreading the long day, just happy to be there, and happy to be marrying his beautiful bride!

This was a really special moment for me. Tiffany wanted me to be in the room, while she sat alone, and opened Kyle's card and wedding gift to her. She was laughing, crying and silent all at the same time. I could just see the love she has for Kyle, and how incredibly head over heels she is for him.

Hudson is 1 year old!!

Time is flying waaaay too fast!! I honestly cannot believe this little man is already turning 1!! He is getting to be such a big boy, and as always, he is a total cutie pie!

Tiffany: Bridals!! // Waco Wedding Photographer

Tiffany and Kyle's wedding was yesterday! It was such a wonderful day, and they have got to be one of the sweetest couples in this world!! I'll talk more about that, and their wedding day later, but for now, I am so so excited to show you images of Tiff in her FABULOUS wedding dress. I'm seriously in love with it, as I am with most dresses that come from Georgios.

We did her session out at Vera Estates, which was beautiful inside and out!

It was an extra special session, because we were able to include Kyle's daughter in some of the images!! She is seriously just as sweet as she is adorable!!

I love this next shot of Tiffany!! She is such a happy confident girl, and this image shows exactly that, happy & confident...

The sun smiled down on us, and gave us some beautiful light! And then I feel in love with this swing... and then I fell in love with this image...

They had Diamond Productions for their dancing and let me just tell you, he had that place going!! It was so fun!!

It was a fabulous night! One of my favorite parts about this wedding was having an awesome coordinator, Karmen from Pendley, she was so sweet, so fun, so easy going, but at the same time, had the whole day going smoothly and effortlessly. I cannot stress how wonderful it is to have a wedding coordinator for your wedding!

I have been so excited to get these images up on the blog!! Not just because they got ready at the Livingston, which has to be the BESTEST place in Waco to get ready... but because Stacy and Bryan are two people who are truly meant for each other in every way. my biggest, bestest bit of advice, when you are planning your wedding: be YOU!!

everyone feels like they need to do what every once else done, or exactly like their older sister, best friend cousin, random stranger... whoever...

really... what makes your wedding beautiful, is what is important to you, whether it is your decor at your reception, your bouquet, or something you are wearing, or anything...

make a goal to show yourself off at your wedding, and have it really mean something to you!

Why am I thinking about this so much?!? I did a bridal session last week, and had her pull up her dress to show off her shoes, and THIS is what I found...

AHHH! I loved them... really I love any shoes a bride wears, ESPECIALLY when they are not boring and white! :) But WOW these were amazing!! I can't wait to share more with you of her session, her session was totally HER.

So, moral of the story... go buy these shoes...

KIDDING!!

Go find something cute, something that represents you, and is totally NON-traditional... unless you are totally traditional, then find something totally traditional... you know what I mean, just BE YOU!!! :)

Jalyn and Chase Wedding! Part 2

Finally... as promised... here is Part 2 of Chase and Jalyn's wedding!

There ceremony was short and sweet, and to the point, and I loved it.

Some of my favorite shots are the couple as they walk down the aisle. This definitely makes that favorite list. Look how uncontrollably happy they are... they couldn't stop smiling if they tried!!

Another one of my favorite moments, when the bride and groom run down the aisle, and go off to a secluded spot, and have a moment together.... realizing they are now husband and wife. I LOVE it. Can I just tell you how much I love my job!?

And here they are!! Husband and wife!! :) So happy, so cute together... SUCH a pretty sky!!

Their reception was out at Seaton Star Hall, it was a totally relaxed fun atmosphere!

Jalyn and Chase Wedding! Part 1

Jalyn and Chase were married this month! She had the most gorgeous dress, and I was so thrilled to take a minute with it in this beautiful window light!

Jalyn made me sooo happy by giving me ooodles of time to photograph her alone before the wedding!! I just loooooved this couch, and wanted to try to do something really dramatic! I really like how it turned out!

And here is Chase! Getting ready to see his future wife for the first time on their wedding day!

If you have ever talked to me about your wedding, you probably know what a HUGE fan I am of the "First Look". We do it before the ceremony, before anyone arrives, and in an intimate place, where the bride and groom get to see each other for the first time. It is always the brides option, and I still have plenty of brides who do it the traditional way... BUT those who do it this way never regret it!! It helps make the day flow better, because we get the pictures all done before the ceremony, and so after everyone goes straight to the reception. AND it seems to calm both the bride and the groom, because they have been able to be together for most of the time before the ceremony!

Okay, off my soap box... here are Chase and Jalyn, about to have their first sight!

Jalyn: Bridals!

Jalyn and Chase were married on Saturday!! They are such a fun couple, and I was so thrilled to be a part their special day!! I will post a sneak peek of their wedding next week, but for now I am so excited to share with you a few of Jalyn's bridals!

Let me just tell you, this session took place on the COLDEST day ever recorded in Waco, Texas. Okay, maybe that's not entirely true, but it was freeeeeezing cold! She was amazing, and acted like a true model, thought warm thoughts, and pushed on through the session... oh, and in between every shot she hurried and put her big winter coat on!! :)

I mean really?! Can you even tell she was cold?!

Oh, and I have to mention, her dress was AMAZING! She got it from Georgio's here in town, which, if you are buying a wedding dress in Waco, that is the place you MUST go!! They are the sweetest ladies, and have the SUH-WEEETEST dresses!!

Sarah: Bridals!

This cute little family welcomed a brand new baby girl, Lucy, to their family a couple months ago!! She is the sweetest little one, and so I was extremely excited when I found out they wanted to do a family session!

These girls love their new baby sister so much! They are so sweet with her!

You will notice this throughout the entire post, but this whole family has KILLER eyes!!

This is why I love Ava. She is such a free spirit, fun, hilarious girl!! We were trying to get a simple smiling shot, like the one of Sydnee above, and she decided it would be a better idea to dance and run and skip! I love, love, love this shot, because it is SO Ava.

Natalie and Clark: Engaged!! (Part 2)

As promised, here is part 2 of Natalie and Clark's engagement session! We went into the barn, and over to see the horses, and shoot around them, and got this awesome shot above... it was so funny though, because this one horse kept walking right in front and just putting his rear in the shot, we were dying laughing, it just wanted attention so bad! Then Natalie and Clark started kissing, and the horse came right up to them and put his face right to there faces.... LOL. it was SO funny!

They have this suh-weet blue tractor out on the land, that I was so much in love with! And it totally shows off Natalie's killer eyes!

Finally, we had a little sun poke through! We were SO so happy to see the sun, but it was still so very cold!!

So very beautiful too!

They are so romantic together, it makes me :)

And the some of the most beautiful sunlight I have ever shot in! It might have just been because it was warm, but WOW, it was just gorgeous!!

Natalie and Clark: Engaged!! (Part 1)

Yes, this session was so FABULOUS, that I just have to do it in 2 posts. Too many awesome ones to share! As most of you know, I LOVE finding new places to shoot... Natalie and Clark decided the most meaningful place to do their session would be at Natalie's parent's home. And it was INCREDIBLE. We worried ALL day about the weather. It was C.O.L.D. as can be, and waaaay more windy than we would have liked, we considered rescheduling, but decided to just go ahead and give it a try... and I am SO glad we did! We might have froze our little behinds off out there, but ohmyWORD! We got some amazing stuff!!

Okay, enough talk, here is the first half of my favorites from their engagement session!

First, just a super cute one, that shows off how incredibly adorable they are together! :)

This was totally Clark's idea, and I LOVE it. Such awesome texture!!

We wandered through the wooded area of their land, and found some gorgeous spots!!

Then we headed over to the barn, and found even MORE great spots. I love the color of the tin on this little thing...

they are so smokin' hot together, I love it.

Lauren and Alec: Engaged!!

Oh, this was SUCH a fun session for me! I met Lauren and Alec for the first time last September, we talked and laughed and learned about each other, and I knew from the start this was all meant to be! :) Now, 6 months later we met again for their engagement session! It was SO good to see them again! We had fun running around the Baylor campus, capturing who they are as a couple, and enjoying the wonderful spring day!!

Aren't they SO adorable together!?! I mean, they just look like they were born for each other! I love it!

Spring is by far my favorite time of year to shoot! Just as the weather is getting warmer, trees are blossoming, and everyone is in LOOOOOVE! :)

Karli and Eric: Engagements!

It has been almost a YEAR since Karli first emailed me to talk about her wedding! I have enjoyed emailing her, and getting to know them on facebook and such, but it was SO good to finally meet Karli and Eric in person!

One of my favorite things about Karli and Eric is how COMFORTABLE they are together. It is just an easy going, down to earth relationship, and I LOVE it.

It was the PERFECT morning for a shoot! I loved every minute of getting to know them, and hanging with them!!

Cute Baby Ty: 4 weeks old

I have photographed this family twice before, here and here. So I was SO excited to come and get some images of the newest addition to the fam: Ty, isn't he the cutest little man?!

He is a BIG boy!! At 4 weeks old he is already growing out of all of his 0-3 month clothes.

This was just about as sleepy as we got him. He wanted to know what was going on, and was basically FULLY alert the rest of the session. But I think it is so cute that he has a little smile going on in this one.

This next one just makes me smile. He was definitely trying to do a little GQ face. :) I love when kids have lots of different expressions, and this boy had them ALL... already, at 4 weeks old. He was so animated, and I'm pretty sure I got images of him doing like 20 different faces. hehe.

And I just LOVE this shot of him with his big brother and sisters!

Allison and Brian: Wedding!!

Allison and Brian were married this month!! It was such a fun day, filled with laughter and happiness. They are so so sweet together, and I enjoyed every minute I got to spend with them!

We tried SO hard to get a serious shot out of Brian, but all his groomsmen behind me were not about to let that happen! So we got an awesome laughing shot! I really do love it though, because it is SO real!

I always love the feeling in the brides room before the ceremony. So nervous, so quiet (sometimes) and so excited! It's an amazing feeling that is hard to describe, but I think this image tells it perfectly...

And watching Mom watch her daughter wearing that dress was a completely priceless moment.

Look at these gorgeous girls!! This was one of the only shots we got outside before the wind just about blew us all away!!

Her colors were so fresh!

and the big moment... she looked amazing walking down that aisle!

Allison: Bridals!

Katherine: Waco, Texas Bridals

Ashli and Gary are MARRIED!!! {Part 2}

As promised, here is the Part 2 of Ashli and Gary's wedding! She has the cutest little favors, these little love blossoms! There were directions for planting your "love blossoms" on the back, so sweet! And I love that purple!

It was so cute, like every other word that was said they would look over at each other and exchange smiles. HOW SWEET!?! Usually people are so nervous they don't look at each other, unless they are told to, or during the rings, or vows, but they kept sneaking peeks at each other all the way through. I loved it.

She even brought me a little gift to the wedding *seriously, who has the time to think of a gift for the photographer on their daughters wedding day?! -Kathy is that amazing!* Anyway, it was a picture she had taken during Ashli's bridal shoot of me and Ashli laughing together. And I totally love it, and it totally made my day! *Maybe* if I ask her really nice she'll email me a copy, so I can share it with all of you too! ;)

So, I'm not sure WHY this got me so excited... because honestly, I hate snow!!! But... there is something magical about a quiet snowfall! (as long as it doesn't last long) And watching my kids run and play in the snow for the first time (that they can remember) was incredible. SO, when I think of it that way... it was an amazing day on Friday! We had SNOW!!! Here in Waco. We looked out the window to see the snow falling, and hurried as fast as we could to put on the warmest clothes we could possibly find and run out into the winter wonderland.

they weren't quite sure what they thought about it...

i mean... it was REALLY cold...

they immediately wanted to come inside and get warm...

so I bribed them, saying they could only come inside if they smiled at the camera...

it kinda worked...

Just got back from an incredible day at Ashli and Gary's wedding! I am totally and completely exhausted, but oh what a day! They had such a special ceremony, the words truly touched my heart. Katherine and Jonathan's happy day begins!! I have LOVED these two since the moment I met them, there are the kindest, most loving people... and just put off SO MUCH happiness... Kat's smile is seriously contagious, and it is hard to feel anything but happy when you are around her... so it was for sure a VERY happy day! :)

Some things you need to know before you book with Berrett Photography:

-Session fee of $50 + tax will be due to reserve your time, and is non-refundable. (credit cards are accepted)

-Families and/or just the kids!

-You must specify your time slot when booking session.

-Please do not be late for you appointment!

-Each session will be edited and placed online for viewing and ordering. All prints and products should be purchased separately, regular print prices apply.

-You will be notified by email when your session is online.

Sessions will be on a first come first serve basis. Hurry up and book! I expect these sessions to sell out quickly! To schedule your session send an email to nicole (at) berrettphotography.com!

We had a fun day of pumpkin carving, and spending time together as a family. Then tonight we headed over to Cameron Park Zoo's Spooktacular event, and went trick-or-treating and saw lot's of "Scaries" as Jaden calls them :)

We had a WONDERFUL family vacation aside from the fact that my poor baby boy was sea sick the whole time :( It was GREAT to get away... to be unplugged from the outside world and reconnect with my 3 favorite people in the whole world. I love them.
